This painting is built up from visible layers, with traces of overpainting and revision etched into the surface. A swirling brushstroke, though expressive, is intentionally duplicated. Each spiral is scattered with dots applied using the wrong end of the brush—recalling Max Ernst’s Birth of a Galaxy (1969) and connecting the work to broader explorations of form and gesture.
