Studio at Auto Amor

Auto Amor offers a simple, self-led studio space for artists who want time, room, and the right atmosphere to make work.

A day at the studio is available for £50 for one artist & can be booked for single or consecutive days. It’s also suitable for small groups working together. Additional artists are £25 per day.

The Space

A basic 6m x 3.5m working studio with everything you need to settle in and get going:

record player, kettle, coffee & tea, heating, and space to work comfortably.

You’ll be given the keys for the day so you can work at your own pace.

Documentation

We can also offer a simple Instagram carousel post featuring you, recent work, and clips of you working in the studio — free of charge which we will post as a collaborative post with you.

Materials (Pay & Play)

We operate a small artist materials shop from the room next door. Rather than a fixed list, we ask what you need when you book and stock accordingly where possible.

• Painters can pre-order canvas stretchers, assembled & primed ready for arrival

• Sculptors can pre-order specialist materials for moulding or casting.

• Materials are paid for separately, used as needed

• (No resin)

Tools & Equipment

A selection of shared tools and equipment are available for use during your booking, including:

• Vinyl cutter

• Silk screens & gel plates for mono printing.

• Wax pot

• Saws and general hand tools

• Projector

• Table Saw & Chop saw

• Underpinner

Tuition

The studio is primarily self-led, but technical tuition can be arranged on a case-by-case basis depending on the process and availability. The studio is lead by Tom, who has good knowledge of Mould Making & Casting.

Accommodation

If you plan to stay with us, we have plenty of accommodation. Our studio is at the Quadrangle & there is camping, a Riverhut, Airstream or plenty bedrooms (sleeps 27) in the Victorian model dairy farm.
